Huizhou, on the east bank of the Pearl River Delta next to Shenzhen and Dongguan, is an electronics-information (TCL, EVE Energy) and petrochemical hub, absorbing Shenzhen’s industry and population spillover. With West Lake, Xunliao Bay beaches and Luofu Mountain, it offers both sea and mountains and high livability. Cost of living and housing are markedly lower than Shenzhen; the Shen-Hui intercity rail brings it closer. Hot and humid.
