🇳🇴 Norway · Student Visa

Student visa categories, eligibility, required documents, work rights, and application steps.

Non-EEA students who will study in Norway for more than three months generally need a UDI study permit. Requirements commonly include admission, full-time study, funds, housing and documents from the institution.

  • Admission to an approved institution comes before the permit application.
  • Study permits can allow limited part-time work, but UDI conditions control the limit.
  • The permit period may not count toward permanent residence in the same way as work permits.
