South Korea introduced a digital nomad ("Workation") visa, classified F-1-D, from 1 January 2024. It lets remote workers employed by an overseas company live in Korea for up to two years (typically a one-year stay extendable by another year). It requires a sufficient annual income (around twice Korea's GNI per capita) and qualifying health insurance; holders may not work for a Korean employer.
