Portugal has a digital nomad visa (the D8, introduced in October 2022) for non-EU remote workers employed by a company outside Portugal or self-employed with foreign clients. Applicants must show a qualifying income — set at around four times the Portuguese minimum wage — plus accommodation and health cover. It comes as a temporary-stay or residence option; AIMA handles residence.
