The Netherlands does not have a dedicated digital nomad visa. Non-EU remote workers and freelancers typically use the self-employed residence permit, or — for US nationals — the Dutch-American Friendship Treaty (DAFT) self-employment route. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens can live and work freely. For short visits, Schengen rules apply (see the tourist-visa page).
